Michael Torrey Associates Expands Team
Michael Torrey Associates (MTA) welcomed Brad McKinney to its growing team on April 4. The Washington, D.C.-based firm offers effective government relations, strategic communications and issue advocacy and full-service association management to a growing number of clients in the food, nutrition and agriculture sector.
As Director of Government Affairs, Brad will provide guidance and representation to clients on an ever-expanding array of agriculture and food policy issues. His expertise includes legislative and regulatory analysis as well as helping clients understand who is driving the policy conversations around key issues in Washington and how best to engage.

Brad brings expertise in legislative affairs, issues analysis, and coalition building. Most recently, he served as an advisor on FaegreBD Consulting’s food and agriculture team. Prior to that, Brad was a Washington representative for the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture. He also has experience working in the office of Senator Richard Lugar.
Like others on the Michael Torrey Associates team, Brad’s roots are in agriculture. He grew up working on the family farm in Tipton County, Indiana. He has a BS from Purdue University and is completing a joint Masters in Ag Economics and Masters in Business Administration through Purdue and Indiana Universities.
Brad joins the growing team at MTA at a time the firm is expanding its capabilities and offerings to clients.
