As director of government affairs, Brad provides guidance and representation to clients on an ever-expanding array of agriculture and food policy issues.
Brad previously served as an advisor on the food and agriculture consulting team at Faegre Baker Daniels, where he focused on key policies and regulations impacting the industry. This included work on trade, immigration, nutrition and labeling issues. Additionally, he served on the firm’s national food and agriculture steering committee, which consisted of more than 150 lawyers and consultants.
Prior to joining FaegreBD Consulting, Brad was a legislative and regulatory affairs specialist at the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA). He managed a portfolio of issues that included: the farm safety net including risk management and taxes, dairy, energy, transportation and nutrition.
Prior to NASDA, Brad was scheduler for Senator Richard Lugar of Indiana, after having served as an intern and staff assistant. Brad also spent time as coalitions director on a gubernatorial campaign in Oregon in 2010.
A native of Fishers, Indiana, Brad has a B.S. in agricultural sales and marketing from Purdue University and is completing a joint M.S. in agricultural economics and M.B.A. through Purdue and Indiana Universities, respectively.
