PR: MTA Welcomes Summer Intern, Carlos Flores
Michael Torrey Associates is pleased to announce the addition of Carlos Flores, summer policy intern. In his role, Carlos will assist the MTA team with policy research, issues tracking, and other special projects to serve an ever-growing list of clients in the food, agriculture, and forestry sector.
A Puerto Rico native, Carlos is currently a student at the Inter American University School of Law. He received an undergraduate degree in agricultural economics from Kansas State University in 2018 and has served in internship roles with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the Puerto Rico Farm Bureau, U.S. Senator Pat Roberts, and U.S. Representative Roger Marshall.
“We are excited to have Carlos join us for the summer. His experience and passion for agriculture is greatly welcomed and will be a real asset in supporting the MTA team and our clients,” said firm principal Michael Torrey.
In his spare time, Carlos enjoys being outdoors, catching up with old friends, watching sports, reading books, and visiting historical sites.
