In the Director position, Trey provides guidance and representation to clients on an ever-expanding array of agriculture and food policy issues. Prior to joining MTA, Trey served as a Policy Advisor to Ambassador Gregg Doud, Chief Agricultural Negotiator in the Office of the United States Trade Representative.
Forsyth also previously held various roles at Land O’Lakes, Inc., most recently as Government Relations Manager where he focused on farm and food policy issues, including grassroots advocacy efforts. In addition, he worked for Land O’Lakes SUSTAIN, a start-up division of the company focused on integrating sustainability initiatives from farm to fork.
A native Iowan, Trey grew up involved in his family’s century farm in Charles City, Iowa. He graduated from Iowa State University with a B.S. in Agricultural Business and Public Service & Administration in Agriculture. He is a proud alum of the National FFA Organization and the Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity.
